WHAT WE’RE implementing

climate action fund

Women in Climate Action committed to the establishment of a Climate Action Fund as a crucial step towards supporting initiatives and projects that address climate change by providing financial resources and technical assistance to help countries and communities reduce emissions, adapt to climate impacts, and build resilience.

CLIMATE AWARDS

Women in Climate Action Awards were first launched in 2023 to demonstrate recognition for hard work and accomplishments, boosting morale, motivation, and a sense of value, while also fostering a positive environment and inspiring continued excellence for the women currently making an impact in the field of climate change action.

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Climate mentorship was launched in 2025 and is important because it empowers individuals, especially young people and those from marginalized communities, with the knowledge, skills, and networks needed to effectively address climate change, fostering impactful collaboration and accelerating sustainable solutions.

CLIMATE WALK

The climate walk was first launched in 2023 as a means to promote collaborative action on urgent problems facing urban Kampala. The walk is usually a 2-hour walk around Kampala whereby participants get to explore innovative climate action projects and raise community awareness on their role in the fight against climate change.
