In 2022 Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) held the first Women in Climate Change (WICC) Conference to amplify the voices of women in the climate change space.  The conference brought together women engaged in various components of green growth. providing a platform to discuss challenges, propose solutions, and recognize the contributions of women in leading climate adaptation, mitigation, and response. Over the years, WICC has evolved into an annual event bringing together key stakeholders from different sectors to expand women and youth empowerment in climate action, with each year centered around a specific theme:
